Eleanor Hernly, (they/them)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate
I see therapy as a place to tend the small sparks of change moments of intuition, courage, and connection that grow into something steady and sustaining. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling scattered or dimmed, and my role is to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and care as you navigate your path forward.
I work with teens and adults. My experience includes supporting people through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, family stress, and burnout. I hold particular care for neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and queer communities, and I welcome individuals and families of all backgrounds into this work.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, playful, and deeply grounded. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, adapting tools to each person’s needs. I believe therapy can be both a safe place to rest and a brave space to grow where you are met without judgment and supported in nurturing your own resilience.
Outside of sessions, I find grounding in the natural world gardening, camping, backpacking, bouldering, and biking are the ways I reconnect with myself. Nature often inspires the imagery I bring into therapy, reminding us that growth, rest, and change are all part of being human.
